GAB Valenciano opens the final quarter of the year with an exciting and groundbreaking new creative endeavor as he officially launches Nativ on November 8 (Wednesday) at Valkyrie Nightclub in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.

Nativ Global Group, Inc. is a New Media/New Era production company that aims to provide a massive array of creative digital audio and video experiences such as TV and digital commercials, audio-visual presentations, music videos, narrative/documentary films as well as sound design, musical scoring, and music theme/jingle production among many others.

As its co-founder and CEO, Gab conceived Nativ with his team with the central objective to go back to a production set-up that offers a streamlined, high-concept, and cinematic take on all branded and non-branded content. With Gab’s creative leadership, Nativ aspires to be an industry leader in the creation of amazing audio-visual materials that are at par with international standards.

“This has been my ultimate dream – where I am given the freedom and capacity to share with the world, what I see, feel, and hear.” says Gab. “I will be spending more time behind the camera than in front of it now that Nativ is finally operational. I love performing but one of my real passions is producing content and pushing the creative envelope. There really is nothing like creating something visually captivating that has the power to change lives.”

In 2015, Gab scored a Best Choreography nomination in the MTV Video Music Awards for his outstanding contribution in Beyonce Knowles’ “7/11” music video.

Gab first gained worldwide acclaim through his super-selfie videos – an original concept that he regularly uploaded on his social media platforms specifically on Instagram and YouTube. His super-selfie videos gained mainstream popularity as it was featured on Teens React on YouTube where Game Of Thrones star Maisie Williams profusely praised his work. The Teens React video has generated over 6 million views on YouTube. Gab was also featured on major TV shows in the United States such as Good Morning America, America’s Funniest Videos, Tru Videos and other television shows in Europe, Canada and Asia as well as in major online sites such as Mashable, Huffington Post Comedy, Buzzfeed, Reddit, People.com, and NBC News among others. Because of his super-selfie videos, which leveled-up the popular super selfie phenomenon that swept the global online community by storm in the past years, Gab was recognized by YouTube as one of the young content creators to watch out for.

A dance champion, Gab bagged the Full Sail’s Got Talent championship trophy in 2013 and he showed his terpsichorean skills in the viral video of Rock The Vote, a non-partisan video that was released in the US in 2014. They produced a Super Selfie #HandOfPower video for the #CareLikeCrazy campaign and a second video that he choreographed. The video advocates freedom and equality in politics in the United States and the power of votes to change the socio-political landscape of America. Gab was also chosen to represent Asian Americans in the United States as he advocated racial equality. Gab was featured alongside Academy Award winner Whoopi Goldberg, Darren Kriss of Glee, Lena Dunham, E.J. Johnson, Ireland Baldwin, Sophia Bush, and rapper Lil’ John among many other well-known international artists in Rock The Vote.

Gab graduated with an associate’s degree in Recording Arts in Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. He produced and arranged for his father Gary V’s “Eto Na Naman,” which is the official theme song of Jeepney TV, and “Galing Ng Filipino” which was the official theme song of The Filipino Channel (TFC) for its 20th anniversary as well as the theme songs of Jericho Rosales’ TV series like Green Rose (“Bumuhos Man Ang Ulan”), I Dare You (“Kayang Kaya”), and Dahil Sa Pagibig (“Dahil Sa Pagibig”). He also produced and arranged the ABS-CBN Station ID theme song for 2011 after he won at the Awit Awards for Best Dance Recording for a song he likewise produced, composed and performed titled “Move.” Among his other works are his father’s remake of his iconic hit “Shout For Joy,” Marie Digby’s song “Ferris Wheel,” Jericho Rosales’ “Naaalala Ka,” as well as songs for Erik Santos, Jed Madela, and Rachelle Ann Go to name a few. In 2014 he received his first award for Best Musical Scoring as he got the nod from professors and students all over the Philippines for doing the musical score for the globally acclaimed film Alagwa (Breakaway). Also, Gab was one of the resident musical arrangers of special segments on ASAP, most notably SupahDance. Gab’s YouTube channel has over 95,000 subscribers and his videos have garnered millions of views.

YouTube’s annual YouTube Rewind honored Gab as one of the top 70 content creators of the world for his super-selfie videos for 2014. He was likewise honored in 2015 as a cutting edge and raw filmmaker by the Flex series of the Hammer Museum of UCLA in California.  Gab was also chosen to produce, conceptualize, and direct the music video of Jessica Sanchez’ single “This Love.”
Aside from Nativ Film and Nativ Sound, the long-term plans of Gab and his team include Nativ Cares, which supports the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility and many advocacies through quality films.

“We wish to become a major game player in the video and sound production industry. What motivates us is our desire to achieve excellence in all of our outputs. This is a dream come true that we have planned for a very long time and we are now ready to create content that every Filipino can be proud of,” says Gab.
