       SYNOPSIS: Elenita “Ellen” Sancho-Peralta, MD (Julia) goes to a remote municipality in the Bicol region to serve her two-year DTTB stint. At the same time, her husband, Doc Alex (Kean), whom she recently married, goes to Caramoan, also in Bicol, to serve his term as a DTTB.

A lukewarm reception from the mayor determines the outcome of her deployment. The initial conflict arises when the mayor shows disinterest in the proper manner of procuring medical supplies. Despite this and other odds, Doc Ellen and her staff try their best to dispense medical care to patients. Her differences with the Mayor escalate after a baby dies unnecessarily at childbirth. In the ensuing dialogue, Doc Ellen realizes that her position as a doctor to the barrio is extremely at stake when she .
momentarily gives up her stint when she gets pregnant, but a year later, after giving birth, she goes back to Cabusao after the DOH has made interventions with the mayor on her behalf.
