Tony Labrusca sang five songs live during the launching of the Vivo V5s on May 19, Friday, at SM North Edsa Annex in Quezon City, Metro Manila. One of the songs was “Tuloy Pa Rin,” which was originally sang by vocal group Neocolours composed of Jimmy Antiporda, Ito Rapadas Marvin Querido, Josel Jimenez, Paku Herrera and Nino Regalado.
"Tuloy Pa Rin" was used in a McDonalds commercial starring Labrusca and Elisse Joson. Launched by Leo Burnett Manila and Golden Arches Development on June 6, 2016, the 60-second video went viral and launched Joson as one of the favorite young stars of her generation.
After the viral McDonalds commercial, both Labrusca and Joson starred in a reality show. The former joined “Pinoy Boyband Superstar” while the latter appeared on “Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky Season 7."
During Joson’s appearance on “Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky Season 7,” it became known that she used to be in a relationship with ABS-CBN actor Jerome Ponce. Their breakup became controversial.
It was on “Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky Season 7” where Joson met her onscreen partner McCoy de Leon. Joson and de Leon co-star in the long-running ABS-CBN series “FPJ’s Ang Probinsiyano.”
De Leon made a surprise appearance at the launching of the Vivo V5s, in which Labrusca was the first performer to grace the stage. Unlike Labrusca, de Leon did not sing. Instead, the “FPJ’s Ang Probinsiyano” actor helped pick winners in the raffle draws during the launching of the new smartphone.
Dubbed the perfect selfie smartphone, the VivoV5s has several things to offer. Equipped with a 20 mp front camera with f2.0 aperture, the phone is perfect for people who would like to take high-resolution selfies and share them on social media without having to spend time editing them first.
The Vivo V5s has a group selfie technology that allows landscape-panning effects in group shots. Its selfie softlight technology gives selfie enthusiasts lighting effects similar to those in a professional photography studio.
The launching of the Vivo V5s was hosted by Verniece Enciso and Nico Ramos. Watch Labrusca performing “Tuloy Pa Rin” during the event here:
