People who attended the blog conference for “D’ Originals” laughed when Elyson de Dios, 17, said he is a straight guy who is open to gay relationships. The actor immediately clarified that he was speaking on behalf of his character in the new GMA 7 show.

The blog conference was attended by “D’ Originals” director Adolf Alix Jr. He was joined by the main cast members Jaclyn Jose, Jestoni Alarcon, LJ Reyes, Kim Domingo, Katrina Halili, Meg Imperial, Mark Herras, Archie Alemania and Lovely Abella.












Jose, Reyes and Domingo will play original wives in “D’ Originals” while Halili, Imperial and Abella will play mistresses along with Arny Ross as Precious, the best friend of Halili’s character Yvette Binetez. Alarcon, Herras and Alemania will play the husbands.

In “D’ Originals,” de Dios will play Darenn, the secret boyfriend of Tim Magpayo (Mikoy Morales). According to de Dios, his character will do everything to make Tim happy.

Tim is the first child of Josie Magpayo (Jose) and Lando Magpayo (Alarcon). Darenn’s boyfriend has a younger sister named Macy Magpayo (Chlaui Malayao).

Before joining the cast of “D’ Originals,” de Dios played Edison Villon in “Poor Señorita,” which starred Regine Velasquez, Mikael Daez, Jillian Ward, Miggs Cuaderno, Zymic Jaranilla, Caprice Cayetano and Ayra Mariano. De Dios and Mariano were the respective First Prince and First Princess of "StarStruck” Season 6, which was won by Migo Adecer and Klea Pineda. 

De Dios was born on May 1, 1999 in Cebu City and was raised in Liloan, Cebu. He is of Filipino, Spanish and Chinese descent.

Before joining “StarStruck” Season 6 in 2015, de Dios attended the University of Southern Philippines Foundation in Cebu City. After the reality talent competition show, he appeared in several GMA 7 shows including “Pepito Manaloto: Ang Tunay na Kuwento,” “Taste Buddies,” “Sarap Diva,” “Pinoy MD,” “Yan ang Morning,” “Maynila,” “Love Hotline” and “Magpakailanman.”
