Tunog Natin is a campaign that aims to revive the Filipinos' interest for local artists and their records.

Artists bring out their best in times of adversity, Filipino artists and audiences are working together to save it.

All Filipino music lovers are encouraged to support Tunog Natin albums and concerts—not only will we have great time reminiscing over classic OPM favorites, we will also see how the next generation of performers are taking our local music into new, thrilling dimensions.

Best of all, we’ll be helping continue the legacy of OPM for future generations.

Avida releases the second edition of Tunog Natin! music album to promote proudly local music.

Home is truly where the heart is, and there is nothing like home-grown music to stir your emotions and always transport you back to its familiar comfort.

As inspiration in Original Pilipino Music (OPM), Avida is launching the second edition of Tunog Natin! Songs from Home through Soundscape Sessions, an afternoon of sounds and socials held at the Avida Showroom in Glorietta 4.

The line up of the songs are truly from the heart:

1. Tuloy Pa Rin Ako - Jim Paredes and Bloomfields
2. Next In Line - Davey Langit
3. Tuwing Umuulan - Moira Dela Torre
4. Hawak Kamay - Thor Dulay
5. Kaleidoscope World - Markki Stroem
6. With A Smile - Princess Velasco
7. Home is here - Johnoy Danao
8. Pinoy Ako - Jason Fernandez
9. Cool Ka Lang - Jaq Dionisio
10. Kay Ganda Ng Ating Musika - All Artists

During the event yours truly got the chance to interview one of the artists Princess Velasco.

In the first edition, she sings a duet with Myrus, 'Kanlungan' by Noel Cabangon.

"Favorite tagalog song ko siya kaya sobrang saya ko nung kinakanta ko sya"

"Yung buong album na iyon, magaganda lahat ng kanta, arrangement at pagkakanta"

For the second edition since 2011, it was Chris Cahilig who contacted Princess that she will sing again for Avida Tunog Natin album.

She says she is very happy to be in the line-up for the second time. She was very happy during the recording of the song 'With A Smile' because she was pregnant during that time.

'Lovey lyircs...It's a very happy song, and it has a great message that makes us feel good" she shares.

Princess would always love to sing OPM songs since she was known as a cover artist.

Much like the debut album, Tunog Natin! Songs from Home Volume 2 will again feature the passion and artistry of some of the best local artists of today and well-loved OPM songs with an emotional appeal that can transcend generations.

Tunog Natin! Sounds from Home is Avida’s contribution in promoting local music. Aside from the participation of veteran artists, the commemorative album also introduces promising talents that are bound to make a mark in the local music scene.

It features renditions of popular OPMs from Jim Paredes, Bloomfields, Johnoy Danao, Moira Dela Torre, and Princess Velasco, to name a few.

It also includes Avida’s anniversary soundtrack “Home is Here”, which is an original composition sung by Johnoy Danao.

Avida’s mission is to keep the Filipino heritage alive, as part of its ongoing Inspired Living campaign, which extends support to the essential artistic foundations that make a community.

This year Avida celebrates 25 years of inspiring possibilities, as it pays homage to the nation through music that connects us all.

In line with Avida’s 25th anniversary efforts to promote local talents, all the songs from the Tunog Natin! Vol. 2 album will be made available for listening and free download in local and international music portals like Spotify and iTunes.

Avida is also launching the album during its festive anniversary celebration on October 14, through a free Tunog Natin concert where select local artists will perform OPM hits.

Food booths and great music await as the concert is open to the public 8PM onwards at 34th St. corner 9th Ave (beside Turf BGC) in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
