Things are heating up for The Hunger Games franchise, as the second entry premieres in Los Angeles to a frenzy of media attention ahead of the film’s release next weekend. The reviews are coming in already, along with some shocking tracking predictions, and it looks like The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is destined to be one of 2013′s biggest films. The red carpet event in L.A. starts at 6pm PST at the Nokia Theater.
The film had its first theatrical release in Brazil last Friday, and it definitely caught fire, bringing in $2.4 million on opening day and a total of $6.3 million so far in that country. That opening was three times that of the first film’s Brazil opening day last year.
