The 1st ASEAN International Film Festival  (AIFFA) was held on March 28-30 in Kuching, Sarawak.
It's awarding ceremony was held at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching.

Film makers from Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Philippines, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, USA, India, Russia, and Australia participated as entries for this prestigious event.

Filipino actors on entries "Sta. Nina," "Alagwa," and "The Kidnappers of Ronnie Lazaro" got a number of nominations.

Yours truly got the chance to watch "The Kidnappers of Ronnie Lazaro" on it's Philippine preview and it was really no brainier hilarious.

Filipinos bagged the major awards including Bugoy Cariño winning Best Child Actor for Alagwa and Anita Linda winnning Best Supporting Actress for Sta Nina
