Fitness enthusiasts all over the metro joined Karate Kid Japanese Fastfood in their 2nd year anniversary celebration with “Run for Good Health”, a series of fun runs held recently at the CCP Complex. Kicking off a healthier 2013, “Run for Good Health” aimed to promote a positive outlook and active lifestyle among Filipinos.
“This is the first time we’ve organized a fitness event and we’re really overwhelmed with the positive turnout,” says Raymond Yap, Vice-Chairman for Karate Kid Japanese Fastfood. “The participants were all pumped up and excited to run, especially with a few of our local celebrities joining in the race with them.”
Aside from advocating a healthier lifestyle, “Run for Good Health” has also become one of the most anticipated events in the metro for amateur and professional running enthusiasts joining its 3K, 5K and 10K categories.
This year, Karate Kid’s exciting fitness event welcomed over 4000 runners, with families and friends experiencing the joy of running as well as its health benefits. Among the famous personalities who also joined were TV hosts Paolo Abrera and Tricia Chiongbian, actresses Bettina Carlos and Stef Prescott, news anchor Ivan Mayrina, and sportscaster Jinno Rufino.
Winning the race were Rafael Boliquit for the 3K division, Richard Solano for the 5K division and Willy Rotich for the 10K division.
