Few weeks from now, it's the Summer Olympics once again as 205 nations to take part in 300 events at the Olympic Games. The 2012 Summer Olympic Games will be held in London from July 27 to August 12 2012, 26 sports of the London Olympics will take place in 28 venues.
The logo for the said Olympics unveiled in June 2007. The jagged emblem, based on the date 2012, comes in a series of shades of pink, blue, green and orange and will evolve in the run-up to the Games. The word London and the Olympic rings are included in the first two digits of the new logo.
Schedules and venues are all set for this spectacular sport event of the year.
Majority of the 2012 Summer Olympic will be held in the Old Park in Stratford in East London. Events will also be held in other venues across London and the UK (England, Scotland and Wales).
