Have you ever imagine assulting a member of Abu Sayyaf in your PS3 or Xbox?
A new video game set to be published by Electronic Arts in October and players are required to rescue hostages from an Abu Sayyaf stronghold in Basilan, Philippines.
A trailer released by EA for “Medal of Honor: Warfighter” and it showed that the Philippines among the “global terror” spots along with Yemen, Bosnia, Somalia and Pakistan.
The Abu Sayyaf renowned for kidnapping tourists in the southern islands of the Philippines. It is linked to Al-Qaeda, a global militant Islamist organization founded by Osama bin Laden.
“Medal of Honor: Warfighter,” which will be available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox, Nintendo Wii U and personal computers on October 23. Players can choose from Tier-1 special forces units from 10 countries such as the Navy SEALs in the United States, Joint Task Force 2 in Canada and Kommando Spezialkrafte in Germany.
The game is a sequel to the 2010 series entitled “Medal of Honor.”
Aside from the Abu Sayyaf stronghold, “Medal of Honor: Warfighter” also requires players to assault a pirate town run by Somali militant group Al-Sabaab.
However, a local official believes that the journalist has connections with the Abu Sayyaf, adding that he may be carrying funds for the terrorist group.
