 ABS-CBN was given an approval by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) to air the controversial “Maalaala Mo Kaya” episode about a rape victim.
The said episode is based on the true story of a teenage girl who was repeatedly raped, once even with the help of her own mother, will air this Saturday, June 30.

The MTRCB previously gave an X-rating on the episode, entitled "Cursed Beauty," which was originally slated for airing on June 2.

It now has a rating of "SPG" or "strong parental guidance" after being thoroughly reviewed by the agency .

Former “Goin’ Bulilit” child star Jane Oineza portrays 15-year-old Nene who was repeatedly raped by her stepfather. But her world drastically changed when her mother even assisted her live-in partner in the rape.

Also appearing in the controversial episode are Angel Aquino, Carlos Morales, RS Francisco, Vangie Labalan, Ana Abad Santos, Archie Alemania, Gerald Madrid, Jacko Benin, Kyline Alcantara, Liz Alindogan, Jesette Prospero, Minco Fabregas, and Elaine Quemuel.

“Maalaala Mo Kaya” airs Saturdays after “Wansapanataym” on ABS-CBN.
