Comedienne Eugene Domingo has expressed her excitement over her upcoming movie, “Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kyeme”.
“I’m so excited kasi nakita ko na ‘yung ibang pictures ng location, ang ganda, authentic,” she said.
According to Domingo, some parts of “Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kyeme” will be shot in Seoul, South Korea.
“Ten days kami sa Korea. Siguro mga 40% ng sequel sa [South] Korea. Pasok ang weather na inaabangan namin sa [South] Korea because we're flying soon and we're going to catch the snow,” she explained.
Domingo admitted that it took a lot of time for them to come up with the sequel of the 2009 hit comedy film “Kimmy Dora: Kambal sa Kyeme” because they were quite meticulous in coming up with the right material.
“We really waited for the perfect script,” she said. “Now is the perfect timing for the 'Kimmy Dora' sequel, 'Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kyeme.'”
In an earlier interview, movie director Joyce Bernal said that they have invited a famous Filipina cosplayer to join the film’s cast.
“May madadagdag [sa cast], si Alodia Gosiengfiao, ‘yung cosplayer,” Bernal said.
Gosiengfiao is a 23-year-old cosplayer, model and artist.
Most of the members of the cosplay community refer to her as the “Cosplay Queen of the Philippines” because of her great contribution toward raising the profile of cosplay (short for costume play).
“Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kyeme” will be a horror-comedy film, Bernal said.
Hopefully, she said, the movie will hit cinemas by midyear.
