Sleek PLDT Telpad | Huawei Ideos S7 Slim

When my PLDT Telpad Huawei Ideos S7 Slim arrived in my doorstep few weeks ago, I instantly installed it and try to browse my favorite websites and play installed games like Angry Birds.

This sleek gadget is easy to use.  When I'm setting up the phone, hooking up the phone line to the handset and voila...it's ready to use. The PLDT Telpad handset has a socket to plug in your DSL line, and it serves as the tablet’s dock.

What if I have a WiFi router?

I might end up having to dock the tablet, just to able to browse for hours.

Is it's 3G capable?

No It's not! If you want to go online, you will need to have a Wifi connection. Turn your tablet into a portable hotspot or get yourself a MiFi modem.

The battery life

The battery life is between four to five hours. But if you’re a moderate user doing nothing but frequently checking your email and browsing a lot of websites, I cannot say. I seldom used it off the dock, the battery life was around 65% after 48 hours. Approximately around 144 hours or six days. The official specifications rates it at 300 hours or 12.5 days. And to charge the tablet, just place it back on the handset dock and wait until 4 hours to fully charge.

You have two choices of charging it. You can place it on the handset dock or you use the power adapter that came with the package. One more thing: The power adapter is the same thing you use to charge the battery on your handset and you can’t charge the tablet thru USB port.
