No Classes For Selected Schools During The Feast Of Black Nazarene








The Department of Education (DepEd) announced that classes in selected schools in Manila will be suspended during the Feast of Black Nazarene on January 9, 2012.

In a media advisory released on Thursday, the education department stated that classes in the following schools—all located along the route of the procession of the Feast of the Black Nazarene—will be suspended on Monday:

   Apolinario Mabini Elementary School
   Geronimo Santiago Elementary School
   Ramon AvanceƱa High School


The DepEd said the suspension of classes will be implemented to ensure the safety of pupils and students.

It added that regular classes will resume on Tuesday, January 10.
