The latest January 2012 magazine covers of these two ladies, Jinkee Pacquiao and Charice that to some were maybe a little too fierce for “they barely look like themselves.”
Although she's no stranger to being a cover girl for fashion magazines, Jinkee's spread on the latest issue of Mega magazine is her first to have called public attention for good and not-so-good reasons. It was even widely discussed over at Twitter on Jan. 2, landing in the Top 10 trending topics in the Philippines then.
Mega Magazine gave a statement from Mega's creative director Suki Salvador thru their Facebook page:
"The Jinkee Pacquiao cover for January 2012 went through the standard clean up process that all MEGA magazine covers go through," Suki said. "This is a collaboration of an excellent fashion editor, photographer, makeup artist and hair stylist."

On Charice, Preview also gave their statement about the photoshopped issue:
"What the public needs to understand is that Preview doesn't rely on Photoshop to produce its photos. For every Preview shoot, we are proud to say that we assemble the best team and crew."
The magazine, though, admitted that they used Photoshop on Charice's photo but it was only to enhance it and not to dramatically alter the singer's features.
"If you buy the issue you'll see that Charice looks the same in all the photos. It's difficult to achieve that consistency with Photoshop."
