- According to People’s Magazine It was confirmed that Black Eyed Peas lead Apl.de.ap (Allan Pineda Lindo) is legally blind.
The revelation where they stated that Allan can’t see. It was proved true that he can’t drive far unless he memorized the place due to his statement “One wrong turn and I’d be lost for hours.”
The magazine stated that Allan’s condition is complicated by near-sightedness and color blindness. He can’t tell whether the object is really green or blue or orange.
He was diagnosed with a lifelong ailment called nystagmus, a rare, congenital disease of the eye causing the eyeballs to constantly vibrate which results in chronic blurry vision.
It was Allan’s problem since he was starting to build his career. But Allan was able to manage the eye struggle and he is at ease of not using his vision despite hectic band performances.
Just wondering why Allan always had his eyeglasses? It’s his second eye, a seemingly props to all his gigs and performances.
Black Eyed Peas is continuing its success through hit albums and world tours.
