  • Anne Curtis who just lost her ring she bought as a birthday gift for herself.


Actress and host Anne Curtis as a frustrated singer but not anymore because she is to release her own album.



Curtis said in an interview: “Magkaka-album ako. Serious ako! Oo ng sa VIVA, yes. Inupo ko ang VIVA at sinabi ko sa kanila bakit magkakaroon ng album si Vice Ganda before me. Nasa 13 years na ako sa showbiz. So, si Vic boss sabi niya, ‘Sige pagbigyan na natin siya.”

The Wowowee host said that she will sing her favorite songs to include on her dream CD. Aside from that, there will also guest singers on her debut album.

“For me kasi it’s a statement to all the singers out there na hindi nakakakanta pero passion nila ang kumanta,” she said.


  • American Idol Thia Megia


Thia Megia, a 15 year-old Pinay, got three votes in American Idol auditions in Milwaukee giving her the chance to Hollywood.


Megia was thought to be the best who auditioned last night after singing Adele’s “Chasing Pavement”. She got remarkable comments among judges Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson.

“I love you. You’re the total package,” J Lo remarked. While Tyler said, “I love your voice. I thought it had character.”

She supposed to audition next year but upon learning that the age limit was already 15 compared to 16 before, she did not think twice to audition.


  • 2011 Ford Supermodel/UP Fine Arts student Danica Magpantay


Danica Flores Magpantay was named as 2011 Ford Supermodel of the World on Saturday in New York.

Danica is a UP Fine Arts student who at the age of seventeen gets her $250,000 worth of modelling contract.

The prestigious competition joined by models from over 50 countries was established by Eileen Ford in 1980, and was called “Face of the 80s” back then.

Danica bagged the Ford Supermodel of the World-Philippines title, the same title her mom Lala Flores had won 21 years before which was 1980.
