Twenty year-old YUMI may be young, but already a talent to reckon with. She first invaded the music scene when she started singing at the age of eight. Since her teens, she has sung in hotels, bars and lounges in the Metro. Despite juggling her time between studies and a singing career, Yumi managed to keep her name on the Dean's List at De LaSalle where she is in her senior year of International Studies, major in Japanese. Of Russian and Japanese descent, Yumi captivates her audience with her exotic Eurasian features as well as a voice that reminds one of jazz singers Jane Monheit and Renee Olstead. Audiences particularly love her sultry version of jazz standards, juxtaposed with her fresh interpretation of pop jazz.
Providing front act is ROSS DIO, one of the finalists at Season 2 of the globally popular Pinoy Dream Academy (local counterpart of Endemol's "Operacion Triunto"). Ross, who sings baritone and plays the guitar, has performed both with bands and as solo artist. Mentored by seasoned musicians like songwriter/producer Larry Hermoso, by The maestro Ryan Cayabyab during his Dream Academy days, and now by PETA theater and voice coach Greg Colasito, Ross is eager to carve a niche in the music industry as performer and songwriter. He has shown his forte in R&B and acoustic rock, but given his talent and style, there is no limit to what Ross can achieve as an artist.
Also performing as a special guest is NONA GALAN, a seasoned Jazz artist who sings regularly and has her own following at Stonehouse.
