The upcoming television series of onscreen partners <span style="font-weight: bold;">Kim Chiu</span> and <span style="font-weight: bold;">Gerald Anderson</span> is the Kapamilya network’s first TV drama offering for the Year of the Ox, said respected television director <span style="font-weight: bold;">Ruel Bayani. </span>

“Nabuo ito dahil gusto natin na sa simula ng taon ay may maihandog na espesyal na drama,” Bayani said.

Following immediately his hit TV series, “Iisa Pa Lamang,” which starred Claudine Barretto and Gabby Concepcion, Bayani is directing “<span style="font-weight: bold;">Tayong Dalawa</span>,” with co-director Trina Dayrit. <p>Dayrit, on the other hand, shared that the creative team behind Tayong Dalawa had to come up with a storyline and schedule the shooting days within a short period of time but without compromising its quality .

“Gaya ng lahat ng soap nabuo ito sa maraming puyat for brainstorming at sessions para mabuo namin ng creative team ang kwento ng Tayong Dalawa,” Dayrit said. </p> The most awaited primetime series will begin airing January 19 on ABS-CBN.

A collection of well respected and multi-awarded stars from mainstream, independent cinema and theater will bring to life the vital characters of the series of Tayong Dalawa.<img align="right" hspace="7" src="http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/sites/default/files/images/people/celebrity/std_Kim_Chiu_Tayong%20Dalwa.JPG" vspace="7" />

The story revolves around the life of two step brothers (Anderson and Jake Cuenca) who are in love with the same woman (Chiu).

Among the powerhouse cast are <span style="font-weight: bold;">Miguel Faustman, Spanky Manikan, Cherry Pie Picache, Gina Pareño, Helen Gamboa, Agot Isidro, Mylene Dizon, Ricky Davao, Alessandra de Rossi, Jiro Manio, Coco Martin, Baron Geisler, and Anita Linda.</span>

The title of the series was taken from one of Rey Valera’s classic songs.

Before I start anything, I try to live with the character emotionally. I try to confine myself and become the character for a while. Kim Chiu dares to be different in ‘Tayong Dalawa’

<span style=";font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;"  ><span style="font-weight: bold;">Kim Chiu</span> is set to do a teleserye again with <span style="font-weight: bold;">Gerald Anderson</span> and <span style="font-weight: bold;">Jake Cuenca</span> in ABS-CBN’s upcoming primetime soap <span style="font-weight: bold;">Tayong Dalawa</span>. The former Pinay <span>My Girl</span> can’t wait to take her dramatic prowess to the next level. “Hindi na katulad dati na comedy and makulit lagi yung dating ko. Yung character ko kasi ngayon ugly duckling siya nung bata pa siya. Tapos habang tumatanda, kung anu-ano ginawa niya para lang mahalin siya ng iba’ng tao kasi longing siya for the love of her dad kasi hindi siya nito mahal for some reasons na dapat abangan ng viewers. Kung bakit hindi siya mahal ng dad niya at lagi siyang binubugbog. So malalim yung pinaghuhugutan nung character,” she explained to ABS-CBN.com in an exclusive interview.

Kim is determined than ever to give Tayong Dalawa her best shot. “Mas mature na kami ni Ge (Gerald) dito kasi ka-love triangle namin si<span> Jake Cuenca</span>. So iba naman yung magiging atake namin dun sa struggles nung characters namin. Nahiya nga ako kasi parang kuya ko na siya (Jake). Pero yun, nagwo-workshop naman kami and masaya ako na may bago na naman ako’ng matututunan sa mga co-stars ko ngayon.”

But there’s no denying the fact that Kim’s acting skills have improved since she first entered show business. “Naku, naku naman, ililibre kita…” is her modest answer when <a href="http://abscbn.com/"><span>ABS-CBN</span></a>.com mentioned that she has consistently gotten better with every role she takes on. “Siguro talagang mahal na mahal ko lang yung trabaho ko. Kasi kung hindi ko mamahalin yung trabaho ko, hindi ka rin niya mamahalin. Masaya lang ako, aarte lang ako, kung ano yung role ko gagawin ko siya… At least may makukuha ako’ng sweldo,” she quipped.

Looking back on her newbie days though, the bubbly actress admits that learning the ropes of the business was no easy feat. “Nung first time ko’ng sumalang sa cam sa pinakaunang Love Spell (My Boy, My Girl), nakakahiya kasi sobrang magalaw ako habang nagsasalita sa harap ng camera. Kaya galit na galit sa akin si <span style="font-weight: bold;">Direk Jerry (Lopez-Sineneng)</span> at ilang beses ako sinabihan na, 'Stop moooving!' Sabi ko, ‘Ano ba ‘to, naiiyak na ako. Paano ba hindi gumalaw, eh magalaw ako’ng tao.’ Tapos dumating na sa point na hinawakan niya yung tuhod ko, yung likod ko, at saka naka-close up yung cam para lang mag-steady ako. Pagkatapos no’n, humagulgol lang ako sa dressing room, sobrang nahiya ako,” she recounts.

But with her countless acting stints and continuous workshops, Kim now has the kind of talent and confidence worthy of a true drama princess when facing the camera. “Masaya ako na natuto rin ako eventually kasi mayroong times na naga-guide ko na yung mas bago sa akin ngayon. Kahit papaano nabibigyan ko sila ng tips na parang, 'Uy ‘wag ka magalaw baka mapagalitan ka.’ ‘Uy dito ka humarap kasi ayun yung camera mo, nandito yung sa akin.’ Masarap yung feeling na kahit papaano matulungan ko ring mag-adjust yung iba.”</span>

“Dito sa Tayong Dalawa, ako si <span style="font-weight: bold;">David Garcia</span>. Anak ako ng isang Pinoy at isang foreigner na hindi ko pa nakikilala. Ngayon ‘yung mga nakakakita sa akin sa labas hindi na matatakot kasi wala na akong balbas. Mga kakilala ko [nga eh] nag-tetext na masaya na sila dahil finally nag-shave na ‘ko (laughs). First time ko mag-sundalo so excited ako. Jologs ako dito kasi ‘yung character ko lumaki siya sa squatters. Ibang iba ‘yung role kasi mahirap ako dito, yung mga damit ko tipong may butas at sira sira,”loch Gerald gladly shared with ABS-CBN.com.

In this year alone, Gerald and constant onscreen partner <span style="font-weight: bold;">Kim Chiu</span> have starred in a three TV series. They played lovers torn apart by a demonic cult in the horrorserye Maligno. Then in My Girl, a Filipino adaptation of a hit Koreanovela, Gerald was the company president who fell in love with a poor tour guide, played by Kim, whom he later hires to pretend to be his missing cousin. The duo’s ongoing series, Your Song Presents: My Only Hope where they play mismatched lovers, is currently enjoying good ratings.

With the success of their shows, the <span style="font-weight: bold;">Kim-Gerald love team</span> definitely holds one of the biggest fan bases. Gerald has said that given their legions of followers, he hopes <span style="font-weight: bold;">Tayong Dalawa</span> will equal if not surpass the success of My Girl and My Only Hope. “Alam kong marami nang nag-aabang sa amin ni Kim sa primetime. Sana maging top-rating din itong Tayong Dalawa. Gagawin namin ang lahat para sa viewers, promise namin na magugustuhan niyo ‘to. <span style=";font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;"  >After keeping viewers and local media in suspense, <span style="font-weight: bold;">Alessandra De Rossi</span> finally revealed her role in her first major Kapamilya teleserye, <span style="font-weight: bold;">Tayong Dalawa</span>, which also stars <span style="font-weight: bold;">Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson</span>, and <span style="font-weight: bold;">Jake Cuenca</span>. “Ako si Greta, kaibigan and kababata ni JR (played by Gerald); Inaanak ako ng mommy niya so parang magkapamilya na talaga kami. Since sabay na kami lumaki feeling ko meant to be kami. Pero siyempre nung malaman ko na hindi pala niya ako mahal, dun na magii-start yung kontrabida factor ko,” she happily confided to ABS-CBN.com during the cast pictorial.

Aside from the fact that she and Kim are vying for Gerald’s love, the perky actress feels challenged with the depth of acting that the role calls for. “In fairness, mas pinipiga ako. Parang ganon ang nangyayari dito (Tayong Dalawa) eh. They want to see a different Alex (as she is fondly called by her close friends) daw. Siyempre ‘di ba dapat bawat show iba ang attack mo, hindi pwedeng kontrabida ka lang tapos same acting. So ngayon wino-work out ko kung ano nga ba’ng difference yung dapat kong gawin. Mas maganda yun para hindi ka ma-compare dun sa dating roles,” she mused.

Though it would mean lots of tiring taping days for her, Alessandra is determined to put her best foot forward as she ventures into a much bolder route this time around. “Excited kasi first time ko magkontrabida na mahirap yung role ko eh. Usually kasi mayaman, glamor, nang-aapi lang. This time, ‘eto na GRO naman. Nakakatuwa rin pero siyempre medyo kinakabahan ako sa mga outfit kasi magtataray ka ng naka-plunging eh wala ka rin namang maipapakita,” she quipped. “Hindi ko alam kung gaano ka-sexy kasi hindi ko pa masyadong nae-explore kung ano’ng mangyayari, basta magiging customer ko dito si Jake. Dun papasok yung angle naming dalawa.”

With such a promising career turn, no wonder Alessandra moved to ABS-CBN several months back. “Ito talaga yung dahilan kung bakit ako lumipat. Actually iba yung kwento [dun sa pinirmahan ko]. Pero okay na rin ito, pareho lang naman. [Ang sabi] magkakaroon ako ng soap na drama, tapos ngayon nandito na siya. At saka happy ako kasi yung mga makakasama ko dito pamilyar na sa akin. Si Agot nakasama ko dati sa Okatokat for three months. Si Helen (Gamboa), first time sa work pero since best friend ko si Danica (Sotto) and family sila lagi ko rin siyang nakikita kapag may gatherings. Si <span style="font-weight: bold;">Gina Pareño</span> naman nakatrabaho ko na iyan noon-noon pa, pati si <span style="font-weight: bold;">Mylene Dizon</span>, at si Jake na parang galing din ng kabila,” she intoned.

The fact that she’s good friends with Jake has truly helped her feel at home here on the Kapamilya network. “Yun, si Jake talaga. Sa lahat ng tao, siya talaga yung nagte-text palagi na, ‘Kumusta ka na’, ‘Okay ka na ba’, yung mga ganon. Alam kasi niya yung mga pinagdadaanan ko since friends talaga kami. Si Sir<span style="font-weight: bold;"> Deo Endrinal</span>, ABS-CBN Business Unit Head) rin may time na nag-text sa akin na huwag na daw ako malungkot, masaya raw dito, ganyan. Dito sa ABS-CBN wala naman ako’ng nakitang problema, na may maldita or masama ugali—wala talaga.  Kumbaga kung ano man yung kaartehan ko and lungkot-lungkutan factor, personal issues ko yun,” she stressed.</span>

Though she has worn many hats throughout her career as an actress, Cherry Pie claims that her craft has never failed to keep her on her toes. The fact that she will be working with a powerhouse cast is already enough enticement for her to give the project her best shot. “Kasi yung buong cast, mixture of mga seniors natin na sina Ms. Gina, Ms. <span style="font-weight: bold;">Helen Gamboa</span>, sina Spanky Manikan na talaga namang tinitingala sa industriya natin ay magsasama-sama rito. At the same time, alam naman natin na ang lakas-lakas naman nila <span style="font-weight: bold;">Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson</span>, and <span style="font-weight: bold;">Jake Cuenca</span> sa mga manonood, not to mention yung combinations nung mga rivals dun sa story,” she proudly reveals.

For her part, Cherry Pie hopes that her avid supporters will also come to accept her new role. “Una, nagpapasalamat ako sa lahat ng tumangkilik sa IisaPa Lamang. Nagpapasalamat ako dun sa suporta na ibinigay nila sa akin. Pero ngayon, lumalapit ulit ako sa kanila upang tangkilikin muli nila ang <span style="font-weight: bold;">Tayong Dalawa</span> kahit iba sa nakasanayan nila ang magiging role ko kasi napakaganda talaga ng istorya nito,” she says.</p>

</span><span style=";font-family:Arial;font-size:85%;"  ></span></div> While busy promoting the independent film 100 which earned her the Best Actress Award from this year’s <span style="font-weight: bold;">Cinemalaya</span> Philippine Independent Film Festival, <span style="font-weight: bold;">Mylene Dizon</span> is also working on the upcoming teleserye Tayong Dalawa with <span style="font-weight: bold;">Kim Chiu</span> and <span style="font-weight: bold;">Gerald Anderson</span>. ABS-CBN.com spoke with Mylene during the cast pictorial about her role and working with the Kim and Gerald tandem.

“Hindi ko pa nakakatrabaho karamihan ng mga young stars of today pero if I would play favorites, I love Kim and Gerald. I feel that their love team is not pilit. I don’t see any pretension in them. There are some love teams kasi that don’t work but they still force the issue for marketing purposes, which only make things worse. Kim and Gerald are so cute and nice. If you want to feel good about a love team then Kim and Gerald are the love team to watch,” she told <a href="http://www.blogger.com/ABS-CBN.com">ABS-CBN.com</a>

Mylene also experienced playing teeny-bopper roles and being in a love team. During the mid-‘90s she was a part of the ABS-CBN youth-oriented drama Gimik which featured her in a love team with <span style="font-weight: bold;">Bojo Molina</span>. Now that she has blossomed into a recognized actress on film and television, Mylene said that she is happy to be working again in the Kapamilya network. “I did Kokey last year. After that I did a show in the other network so I’ve been bouncing back and forth. Being in ABS-CBN again feels like home like it always has been. Especially with the team of <span style="font-weight: bold;">Deo Endrinal</span> (Business Unit Head of <span style="font-weight: bold;">Tayong Dalawa</span>), I started with him in<span style="text-decoration: underline;">
g</span>imik. I think the bouncing back and forth is good because every time feels like a fresh start.”

The actress is pregnant with her second child with model-actor <span style="font-weight: bold;">Paolo Paraiso</span>. Mylene revealed that she is hoping her condition won’t get in the way of her work on Tayong Dalawa wherein she plays the loving mother of Kim. “When they talked to me about this project it’s not as difficult as the ones I have done in the past. I don’t think I’m going to have problems. I think I’ll have more problems if I stay home and get bored. I believe I am better off being busy on the set.”

<p>Kimberly Sue Yap Chiu (born April 19, 1990) is the first Teen Big Winner of Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition, besting 13 teen housemates. Kim and the rest of the housemates entered the Big Brother house on April 23, 2006. After 42 days of spending summer in the Big Brother house, Kim was named the Teen Big Winner with 626,562 votes or 41.4% of the total votes at the Aliw Theater, Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex in Pasay City on June 3, 2006. Kim is a junior high school student at the Distance Learning Center of ABS-CBN, the network’s school for their young talents/artists.</p> <p>A Chinese-Filipino, Kim was never nominated by her co-teen housemates because of her sense of humor and her smile as well as her very positive disposition and sportsmanship that made her one of the early bets by the viewers to win. A semi-contortionist, Kim made everyone laugh with her stunts like crossing her two legs at the back of her head. She also sang songs and played the guitar with teen housemates Mikee, Matt and Gerald.</p><p>A go-getter, she made sure she accomplished the tasks given to her by Big Brother without hesitation. Tasks include eating exotic Filipino delicacies, rope climbing in the garden and sticking out the tongue for an hour, just to name a few. She also participated in the group task to give Jamilla’s son, Miggy, who has cleft palate, the remaining four operations to be shouldered by some doctors at St. Lukes Hospital. One of the tasks was braiding the hair of the girls for six hours. </p><p>After a 10-month relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Kim became sort of a man-hater although she wasn’t afraid to admit her admiration to two housemates inside the house. Earlier in the season, the housemates admitted to each other their crushes among the Teen Housemates. Kim said that she likes Mikee, who also admitted that she likes Kim. From then on, the two were inseparable and oftentimes teased by the rest of the housemates. Both of them can sing and play the guitar, which was their favorite pastime together. On the other hand, as the Teen Housemates dwindled each week, Kim found comfort and good friendship with Gerald, a Filipino-American teen housemate from General Santos City. Kim and Gerald became close friends forming a love triangle.</p> <p>As part of the simple wishes of Kim to Big Brother, she met her idol, the acoustic band MYMP (Make Your Momma Proud) while she was still inside the house. Two weeks before The Big Night, she was taken out of the house blind-folded to record the Chinese song, Peng You (??) by Emil Chou with Juris of MYMP. The song was translated in Filipino and was made into a music video, showing clips in the Big Brother house.</p> <p>Previously on their first week inside, she was asked by fellow teen housemates Jamilla and Aldred to sing in Chinese. <strong>The Big Night</strong></p> <p>The Teen Big Four dressed like princes and princesses in The Big Night: The Fairy Tale Finale of the Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition. Local teen stars and the Celebrity Big Four attended the show. Toni Gonzaga, the original host of the show was back to host the event together with Mariel Rodriguez and ex-Celebrity Housemate 3rd Big Placer, Bianca Gonzalez.
Clare Cabuigin of Bukidnon was fourth with 18.5% of votes. General Santos City native, Gerald Anderson exited the Palace Confession Room and was 3rd place scoring 19.4%. And first runner-up was the Ateneo student Mikee Lee, with 20.7% of the votes cast.
Kim Chiu ranked first among the four with 41.4% and was named the Teen Big Winner. Included in the prizes are 1 million pesos (US$19,000), a condominium unit, a 4-year college scholarship courtesy of AMA Computer University, among other prizes worth 3 million pesos (US$57,000).</p> <p><strong>Life after Pinoy Big  Brother: Teen Edition</strong></p> <p>The day after The Big Night, The Big Four already appeared in different TV shows. Kim, Mikee, Gerald and Clare together with the ex-Teen Housemates appeared in the Sunday noontime show of ABS-CBN, ASAP 06. The ex-Teen Housemates danced the Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition’s theme song, “Kabataang Pinoy” (Filipino Youth) by Itchyworms.
Kim sang her song, Peng You. She wore a cheongsam dress with her hair set like Chun-Li’s. Hosts Luis Manzano and Piolo Pascual announced that Kim and the rest of the ex-Teen Housemates are now part of the Kampamilya (Family, the name given to ABS-CBN talents) under ABS-CBN’s Star Magic. All 14 Teen Housemates will be receiving management contracts from the network.</p> <p>In the afternoon, the four appeared in the Sunday showbiz talk show The Buzz. Kim admitted that she’s dreaming of both becoming an actress and a singer. She also said that if given a chance, she would choose Gerald, a co-housemate and a close friend, to be her leading man. Mikee, a former partner inside the house, said he was fine with that explaining that she looks at Kim only as a special friend.</p> <p>Later that evening, they staged <span style="font-weight: bold;">Pinoy Big Brother</span>: The Big Reunion at the Aliw Theater in Pasay City, where all the housemates from the Pinoy Big Brother, Season 1, Celebrity Edition and Teen Edition join in one stage. <span style="font-weight: bold;">Kim and Gerald</span> had the loudest support from the fans, naming their love team as Kimerald.
A motorcade was held on June 17 at Cebu City, which started from the Mactan Cebu International Airport and ended at the Provincial Capitol. The next day, <span style="font-weight: bold;">Chiu</span> became the guest of honor and performer at a concert at Ayala Center Cebu.</p> <p>Kim is one of the new endorsers of Bench, a local clothing line. She was paired with Gerald in print ads with a caption, “Perfect Pair”, advertising the denim collection of Bench. The overall Production was fantastic,specially the prosthetic ,the Art team did a good job in bringing the old scenes into reality.The costumes used in the movie were all elegant.
The story was unbelievable but it`s worth watching for.
It`s full of detail.Though it`s really long it`s enjoying and the humor is captivating.
The places are beautiful and lovely.
Music was lonely but it fits the story.
Special Effects are fantastic,not so expected in this kind of movie.
And the main characters are really great,They`ve been performing well since the beginning.
This is a masterpiece.

From New Orleans at the end of World War I in 1918, into the 21st century, on a journey as unusual as any man’s life can be, the film tells the grand tale of a not so ordinary man and the people and places he discovers along the way, the loves he finds and loses, the joys of life and the sadness of death, and what lasts beyond time.
Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures Present A Kennedy/Marshall Production A <span style="font-weight: bold;">David Fincher</span> Film, “<span style="font-weight: bold;">The Curious Case of Benjamin Button</span>,” starring <span style="font-weight: bold;">Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, Taraji P. Henson, Julia Ormond, Jason Flemyng, Elias Koteas and Tilda Swinton</span>.  The film is directed by David Fincher.  The screenplay is by Eric Roth, with screen story by Eric Roth and Robin Swicord, based on the short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald.  The producers are Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and Ceán Chaffin. 
The behind-the-scenes team is led by director of photography Claudio Miranda, production designer Donald Graham Burt, editors Kirk Baxter and Angus Wall, and costume designer Jacqueline West.  The music is by Alexandre Desplat.
