I used to think I was a decently healthy guy. I am a practicing vegetarian, and with my work as a freelance photographer, I run around pretty much, chasing my photo subjects, contorting myself to get the camera angles right, and on the whole just living a pretty active lifestyle.

But Coach Jim Saret’s talk about Del Monte’s newest campaign for its Fit n Right brings being healthy to the next level. It made me realize that its not enough to be a veggiecircle. It is important to balance food with exercise. (And I just found out chasing women subjects for photography does not qualify as exercise, although the heart may pound quite a bit from time to time…:-).

Although I hate to accept it, Coach Saret’s credentials (not to mention his presentation of the science behind the work-out program, and its inherent logic) forces me to accept the fact that I am not as healthy as I should (Gasp! My feelings are hurt!)

I suppose I could try to repeat what he said about the science behind Fit n Right, but its much better to just get on with the program and flow with it. The science is impeccable. But for those die-hard fanatics who needs to see it to believe (you faithless ones!), here’s a link to lead you to where its all  laid out in grand detail .

I guess its time to up the ante on health. Now that I know what to do, (and how to beat my fitness buff friends at their game) let me just stock my fridge up on Fit n Right, then we can talk about the next level in health and fitness. Dare? Hehehehe..

What: The FIT workout  

How much calories will be burned? 400 calories in a span of only 4 minutes.  

Remember to Drink Del Monte Fit n Right before doing this


1. Push Up Position (Elbows ang pangtukod) 1 minute














2. Squats ( Taas ang kamay , parang hinoldap lang ! ) 1 minute





3. Push Ups (on your own pace) 1 minute 

4. Ganyan kay Danissa ( Alternate Left and Right ) 1 minute

    buti na lang vegetarian ka so kailangan mo na lang ng FIT workout to stay healthy ano? di ko kaya maging vegetarian pero sige mag exercise na lang ako!!! (gym) (dancing_banana) hahaha
